What should I use to control weeds on the hill?
I have a big hill in my backyard and want to put something on it to prevent weed growth. A local landscaper told me to use "Star Round." He says it is a powder that you spray on, then water to soak in it, but I could not find anything by that name. Any ideas?
The landscaping was referring to the pre-emergent herbicide called "Ronstar. If you do not use this product, you can not buying it. In California, there is a herbicide not registered and not available. May I suggest an alternative to Ronstar? Lilly Miller product called "Casoron" and it does essentially the same as Ronstar (pre-emergence). It should be available over the counter by location where you are. You can check your local garden center or local nursery and ask them Casoron granules. You distributing this product throughout the surface, but once you do, you can not disturb the soil or soil venting it sealing properties. If allowed to stand, I Having control CASORON seed germination of weeds for a year. And if things do to grow, there will not be much at all. There may be some manufacturers that make it different, then just search for a product that has the name "Caseron" in its title. Be sure to read and follow application instructions at any time.
