The Flower of Life and Its Popularity in the World
Mathematics is the universal language. This is a statement that many people use because mathematics cannot be twisted and turned into what you want it to be and there is a unique solution for every problem. No matter the method used, the outcome is the same.
There are a few geometrical figures in this world that have been depicted as sacred geometry. Among them we can name the Seed of Life, the Flower of Life, the Tree of Life, the Fruit of Life and a few more, symbols that people believe to hold the answers to a lot of things.
The names for these symbols have been attributed to them in recent times, but there existence dates back centuries ago, even millennia. Some of them can be found in different cultures at times when each culture took a course of evolution of its own.
The Flower of Life consists of a high number of overlapping circles, evenly spaced, arranged in such a manner that they form a pattern which resembles a flower with a symmetry similar to the one of a hexagon. If analyzed, the center of each circle can be found on the circumference of the six circles of the same diameter that surround the first one.
The symbol is obtained from the primordial shape of a circle. By duplicating the circle around its center you can obtain the Seed of Life, a shape made of seven circles that stands as the basic component which leads to the formation of the Flower of Life.
The Flower of Life has been found in places all over the world, the oldest discovery being in Abydos, Egypt in the Temple of Osiris, dating back to 400 AD. Other discoveries of this symbol were in various temples of China, Japan and India. In Europe, Italy, Austria and Spain are just some of the places where it was found. It even crossed the ocean, being found in Mexico and Peru.
Another interesting symbol is the Fruit of Life. This consists of thirteen circles separated from the design of the Flower of Life. This symbol holds greater significance than the one presented afore because of its shape and the places where it can be found.
The importance of the Fruit of Life is due to the fact that it contains the basis for the design of each and every atom, molecular structure or form of life in existence. Because of this, the structure is believed to be the blueprint for the entire universe.
Since both of the shapes presented afore are geometrical, I would also like to remind that the Fruit of Life contains the delineation basis for Metatron’s Cube, which in turn brings forth the shapes we know under the name of Platonic Solids.
Given their importance and popularity in nature, people have been assigning various significances for these shapes since ancient times. Therefore, the Flower of Life is believed to be a great tool with healing properties for its wearer, where the Fruit of Life is meant reveal secrets of reality.
