Passion Spell
What magical properties does passoin fruit have?

I am pagan, and a spellcaster. Herbs, fruits, etc., are not exactly my strong points, so I generally ask my friends what I should use for certain spells, or I look them up online.

Well, I could find almost nothing on the magical uses of passion fruits. It’s really a random question. Does anybody have answers for me, or places where I could get my answers?

I have looked it up in several books and I am not finding anything. I too use herbs for their specific properties and have always looked them up. Recently I was at a talk with John Michael Greer and he just really burst my bubble about the correspondences. He explained that where we got those were from the journals of working renaissance magickians. This is why sometimes things contradict each other. How they determine what they were was to actually skry the spirit of the plant/fruit/mineral. Literally, I was crushed.

So that leaves us with two general options 1. Go with what everyone else has been using for centuries and tap into it or 2. skry the plant and ask it.

If you cannot find the fruit (since it may not have been popular for centuries) and you do not want to skry then I would recommend picking up something like Natural Magick by John Michael Greer and finding the characteristics and determine the corrospondence. If you post the characteristics I will be happy to give it my level best.

Edit: One site listed it as a water element. I will keep looking!
