A Chant/Spell before a reading using my Oracle and Tarot Cards?
Normally I simply ask that I be an open channel for any and all information required of the reading at hand and that I may be able to deliver it properly with advice that is for the highest good of the person receiving the reading. Before I start the prayer I light some incense, any will do but if im doing many readings i just burn some sage, occasionally when I feel the need, I light a candle for protection (white) or transmutation (maroon).
When I feel very “Blah” or unable to settle in I sometimes do the prayer found at the bottom. I also do this prayer at least Once a month (during the full moon) with my tools at hand as another ritual. Everything you do before a reading is very needed because it is what’s going to get you into the mood for the reading. It will set the stage, kind of like warming up before a game or like morning coffee to start the day.
So be sure you find something that feels right and the more you do it, the easier it will be for your focus to be triggered.
