Is there a masculine attribution to the Sun similar or equivalent to how the Triple Goddess is to the Moon?
More specifically, what might be of equal or similar importance to the Maiden, Mother, Crone aspects that is masculine?
The tri-form God and Goddess concept have always been equally established, it was, in fact, on the Celtic Tri-Form God that Bishop Hillary of Poitiers based the Christian concept of the Trinity. It should be remembered that many people see the progression not as “maiden-mother-crone”, which would be a reference to the life cycle of single person, but as a reference to the generational cycle. That would make the order “crone-maiden-mother”, with the crone being the mother of the maiden who grows up to become a mother herself thus beginning the next cycle. The masculine version would be “sage-son-father”. You should also remember that in many paleo-pagan systems the moon was not considered feminine, there were a lot of Moon Gods world wide as well, therefor the division would not be attributed to the Sun or Moon as such but to the God or Goddess as you understand them.
