8-10 months if my dog puppy food?

I gave myself a mini Dachshund x Jack Russell who we think is about 8-10 months. I took him a week and was eating the best nature hill dog food. he eats well, but I saw they are a puppy version, so if I switch to this until a little older? I mean puppy food is fortified with extra minerals and Tips for doggies more:)

The important time for puppy food is over, so I would stick to what he does well on. When I raised Miniature Schnauzer, I put them on adult food at 8 months.
