How to Secure a Trampoline Onto the Ground

If you have an outdoor trampoline, there are more things to consider since it will be exposed to various elements such as strong wind. But since your trampoline will also be placed on the ground, you have more opportunity to keep it secure and stable.

Using Natural Earth

Your first step is to prepare the ground. Position your trampoline over the preferred location and mark the dimensions and placement of the trampoline legs. Then, take out the trampoline and hollow out the turf that is inside the markings you have created. Excavate the trenches to the required depth. When digging the main pit, do not forget to angle the walls 45 to 60 degrees but provide enough space between the trampoline bed and the slope of the wall to make sure jumpers cann bounce safely on the edge. Finally, cautiously position the trampoline in the newly excavated pit, checking that the trampoline bed is flush with the ground. Get rid of any remaining dirt beforehand.

Using Anchors And Straps to Secure the Trampoline

A trampoline anchor or “tie-down” kit is mainly employed to secure the trampoline to the ground to prevent the unit from toppling over in case of strong wind. An anchor kit usually comprises of metal anchors and anchor straps. Twist the metal anchors into the ground and use the anchor straps to attach the anchor to the trampoline. Make sure you read the manual that came from the anchor kit, as different kits may have different instructions or methods in securing your trampoline.
