Any advice on how to keep my aquarium water crystal clear?
Even though I often change my tank water Fresh filter once a month, the water never gets back to clairity clear that this was when I added water-It seems to have a permanent haze-Tip? How to keep the water clear? The filter should not be quite how often should I change water and wash / replace the gravel? I have a 10 gallon tank with goldfish freshwater …
Goldfish can be very dirty and your diet will also make a difference. You do not mention your filter make or model or if you have more than one, so I'll give you some basic tips and highlight these points as a whole is great, but after as much as possible within your budget is very good. * Changes adequate water, change water gravel with a vacuum up to 50% per week. * Rinse the filter media in used tank water, never tap again and the more regularly as possible. * Make sure the ammonia, nitrites are 0 * Make sure you have a KH and GH of 100 ppm goldfish * A larger tank is better for goldfish, possibly 40 or more * More help for redundancy filter. * * Consider a good biofilter with filter sponge often misunderstood (one of the best here side by side according to studies bio) consider the redox potential, lower known parameter that affects the water quality and clarity * UV Sterilization, not profitable for your tank size, but 90% effective for your problem more in a more cost effective aquarium. * Improved nutrition procedures; Use food with quality ingredients such as Sanyu or Hikari and avoid cheap food, as TetraFin that most of the time "go right on through" as feed that fish consume in less than three minutes, twice a day.
